Dhaatri Trust and the Criminal Justice and Police Accountability Project (CPA) recently organised a workshop on Understanding Wildlife Laws in Panna, Madhya Pradesh.
The two-day workshop brought together more than 60 participants, including community leaders, villagers from Adivasi communities, educators from our Bal Angans, and our barefoot health volunteers.
Throughout the workshop, members from both organizations explored the significance of wildlife laws, the content of these laws, and notable judgments in India. Participants actively engaged in sessions where they shared personal experiences and discussed the challenges related to wildlife laws.
The workshop not only deepened participants' understanding of wildlife laws but also provided them with knowledge on interpreting the various clauses in the Act, understanding their rights, and navigating grievance procedures.
