The Saharias, pushed out of their lands and forest, have no other choice but to work as informal mine labour at the stone quarries in Madhya Pradesh's Vidisha. As a result of poverty and the compulsion to take up adult responsibilities due to death and injuries among mine worker families, many Saharia children are sadly forced to drop out of school.
