Pedalling Towards Education: Schoolchildren in Ganj Basoda Receive Bicycles

We are thrilled to announce the successful distribution of bicycles to 20 schoolchildren in Ganj Basoda, Madhya Pradesh. Thanks to the overwhelming support from our generous donors, we were able to make a significant difference in the lives of these children.

For Adivasi Sahariya children in the villages of Ganj Basoda, attending school has always come at a great physical cost. With long distances to cover on foot, many faced physical exhaustion and struggled to attend classes regularly. As a result, dropping out of school became a harsh reality for some.

Recognising the need for change, Dhaatri launched a fundraising campaign for bicycles. We received such an overwhelming support from all of you, that we were promptly able to distribute 20 cycles to Sahariya children, costing a total of ₹1,24,000, including transportation expenses.

These bicycles will significantly reduce the travel time for the children, enabling them to attend school regularly and prevent dropping out of school.

News of the cycle distribution published in local media

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all our incredible donors who wholeheartedly contributed to our fundraising campaign. Through this support, we have taken a significant stride towards making a positive impact on the lives of these children.
