Women
We work with Adivasi and rural women to promote their traditional ecological practices in their traditional habitats. Women are restoring fallow lands, innovating on foraging and farming, leading community health initiatives and reviving forest-based livelihoods.

Women and Governance

Women Farmers’ Land and Tenurial Rights
Supporting Adivasi and rural women to claim and secure formal land ownership. By providing legal literacy and GIS mapping support, we help them challenge patriarchal norms and claim inheritance rights.

Forest Resource Rights and Management
Supporting Adivasi women in protecting their ancestral forests, local biodiversity, and managing customary forest resources. By mapping native species and foraging sustainably, they preserve traditional ecological wisdom and nurture deep environmental stewardship.

Informal and Migrant Workers
Protecting marginalised women working in the unorganised sectors. By conducting POSH workshops, we aim to combat exploitation and ensure safety at workplace and transit locations.

Women’s Governance Entitlements
Training rural women to navigate administrative systems. Our field teams assist them in obtaining vital documents like single-woman pensions, job cards, and health cards to secure essential state welfare and promote their active civic participation.

Adivasi Women’s Leadership in Gram Sabhas
Building the capacity of Adivasi women to actively participate in Gram Sabhas. They lead local decision-making, draft resolutions for infrastructure development, and confidently dialogue with local governments for entitlements.

Community Wellbeing and Public Health

Barefoot Health Programme
Training community youth as barefoot health volunteers. Operating at the grassroots, they trace patients, support their DOTS treatment compliance, provide emergency hospital referrals, and work to dismantle deep-rooted social stigma.

Silicosis and Occupational Health
Building awareness on occupational health, silicosis, and tuberculosis within highly vulnerable communities. Our team actively helps affected patients access official certifications and obtain essential state healthcare support.

Public Health and Gender
Connecting Adivasi women directly with formal public healthcare systems. We support maternal and reproductive wellness, ensuring women lead community health decisions and access vital services.

Intergenerational Healing and Health Practices
Reviving traditional Adivasi healing wisdom to promote community wellbeing. Women and elders gather wild forest foods and medicinal herbs to prepare nutritious remedies that supplement critical patient recoveries.

Adivasi Women Farmers and Foragers

Foraging and Forest-Based Livelihoods
Assisting women in documenting ancestral foraging practices for sustainable collection of wild produce like mahua, chironjee, and bamboo. The women aim to secure household food sufficiency and create opportunities for supplementary local market incomes.

Women Farmers and Agroecology
Supporting Adivasi women in reviving traditional, organic farming practices and using analog forestry for homestead kitchen gardens for building local circular economies.

Women’s Restoration of Biodiversity and Commons
Supporting Adivasi women in reclaiming and restoring degraded common lands. By clearing fallow compensation fields, constructing soak pits, and nurturing thriving native nurseries, they are regenerating local ecosystems.
